Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who jumped a barricade and seized the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A viral video reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though official papers showed that he was due to attend court on the following morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account includes videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said one more response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded digital services to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Many of Singapore fans had lined up to meet the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had waited for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-part version of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the unexpected bond between two very different sorceresses.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, winning two for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
