Football Expert Chris Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match victorious run came to an end by Sunderland before the global break, however can the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new album, the new release, is out on Friday.

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football team," he said.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' only on the road victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.

My son told me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great success on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.

They have have lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

Their display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.

However I am not do that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they clearly love to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's home form, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
